Eurnekian at the Opening of La Dolfina Lifestyle New Store

La Dolfina Lifestyle has opened a new store at 1751 Alvear Avenue, in La Recoleta neighborhood, one of the most distinguished areas within the city of Buenos Aires.

The clothes brand by Adolfo Cambiaso (Junior) together with Ernesto Gutiérrez Conte have organized a cocktail event at the new store having a surface of 120 m2. The main referent people of the Business area were present at this Event.

Eduardo Eurnekian together with Santiago Soldati, Ricky Sarkany, Karina Rabolini, Teresa Garbesi and Bruno Quintana, amongst others, have enjoyed the new proposal by La Dolfina Life Style which adds to the five exclusive brand-name stores.

For 2010 Season, this firm continues expanding the Sport & Polo Equipment line by incorporating technical materials improving the clothes’ performance. The Bid Awarding Procedure Finishes for the Two Hydro Plants in Santa Cruz River

Following the high tension system arrival at Pico Truncado, now the construction of two hydroelectrical projects will be launched in Santa Cruz River -the most plentiful of the Austral Patagonia region. This is case of the Condor Cliff and Barrancosa Projects.


On the 19th February, Friday, the bids submitted from three consortiums (made up of ten top companies) will be opened. They have re formulated their original proposals in order to compete at the bidding for the construction of two hydro plants in San­ta Cruz river.

This calling out for bidding raised the interest of leading constructors who have undertaken significant hydroelectrical works in Philippines, Co­lom­bia, USA, Bra­zil and Ve­ne­zue­la.
The projects submitted for tender by the National Government for Santa Cruz river have a dramatic energetic and strategic impact on the Austral Patagonia region development.

Having a energetic policy in place since six years ago which put an end to Chubut and Santa Cruz provinces isolation for decades in relation to the National Interconnected System (NIS), the construction of these two hydro plants will aim at repeating in the Austral Patagonian region, the benefits of the 70’s in Comahue from the undertaking of a number of hydro plants such as El Cho­cón, Ce­rros Co­lo­ra­dos, Ali­cu­rá and Pie­dra del Águi­la. Summit of world economic leaders at the Council in Buenos Aires

eduardo-eurnekian-counsilMinisters, governors, executives, and economists gathered last August 26 for the seminar of the Council of the Americas. The event was organized by the Americas Society Council of the Americas and the Argentine Chamber of Commerce, with the support of Aeropuertos Argentina 2000, a member of the business group led by Eduardo Eurnekian.

The local elite and many major icons of the global economy participated in the session of the Council of Buenos Aires, thus turning it into a forum for serious top-level discussions. One of the panel members concluded his address with a phrase that could well describe the spirit that prevailed during the event: “One day, a group of men made the surprising decision of being reasonable,” Jorge Luis Borges.
During the seminar, the lecturers concurred that the international crisis has already reached the deepest bottom and that this new era in the economy is a new era for Argentina.

Former President Clinton’s lunch with Eduardo Eurnekian and Ernesto Gutiérrez Conte.

clintonFormer US President, Bill Clinton, arrived in Argentina, where he expounded upon Global Crisis and both countries –US and Argentina- challenges. Almost 1,000 people attended the conference that Clinton gave on behalf of the “Clinton Foundation”. Among the attendants, there were businessmen, Supreme Court members, politicians, diplomats, academicians, and high-level government employees.

But right before the conference, Clinton –who governed US between 1993 and 2001-, had lunch with a selected group of 20 businessmen with a strong presence from Argentina and Latin America.  He shared table with Julio, Gerardo and Adrian Werthein (event organizers and owners of the insurance company La Caja), Eduardo Eurnekian (Corporación América Director), Ernesto Gutierrez Conte (Corporacion America and Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 CEO), Enrique Eskenazi (Petersen Group President), Jorge Brito (Banco Macro and Adeba President), Hugo Sigman (Elea y Bagó laboratories owner) Eduardo Elztain (IRSA Group President), and Juan Carlos Lopez Mena (Buquebús owner).

Bi-Oceanic Corridor Project Presented in Trinidad and Tobago

tunel3During the Fifth Summit of the Americas held in Trinidad and Tobago between April 17-19, 2009, Corporación América presented the Bi-Oceanic Corridor Project that will connect MERCOSUR to Asian markets.

Former Secretary of State and actual Special Advisory of Corporación América, Rafael Bielsa, was in charge of the presentation during the II Hemispheric Private Sector Forum held in Port of Spain as one of the Forums previous to the Summit. Bielsa was part of the panel “Largest Infrastructure Projects in the Americas “ with Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) President, Luis Alberto Moreno, and Corporación Andina de Fomento (CAF) President & CEO, Enrique García. IADB and CAF are both the main financiers of the project.
